Hello folks,
Another conversion on my bench and a challenging one.
I bought this mounted French officer from the SYW/FIW series from Trident, i am converting to one of the legendary Royal cavalry Regiments, The famous king's Musketeers .
Thos is one of my beloved Regiments , and the real challenge will be their crosses with lilies on their signature garment , "Soubreveste" .
Let the fun begin...

Wonderful subjects ... alas the scale's a bit too small for me these days ( even with heavy magnification I don't think
my arms are long enough any more ). Out of interest, aren't these Eugene Leliepvre's original illustrations ?

Thanks Mike,
that illustration is from E. Leliepvre's work

Magnificent! I see that the metal of the torso has a different color from the rest of the body. Is it from a different figure, went thru a special treatment?

Thanks, the torso is from the ssme figure, i've sanded the original coat ( front and back) and added Bronwstuff putty.
Cheers

Thanks my friend, this is a challenging one..

Don't know whether this might be of interest or not, but just come across a scan of another of 'Maitre' Leliepvre's artworks.
28mm scale would suit such a busy scene.............Inspirational perhaps ?

Mike
