Hello Planetters,

Now that these figures have been oficially released i can post my work.
I have to say the new French figures from Triguard Miniatures add a great looking figures and I really enjoyed working on them.
I have been wanting to paint these French Marine Companies for some time.

Their uniforms were grey/ white coats ( white for Officers) and Royal Blue cuffs, vest, pants .
The lace was gold for officers and a lesser quality gold/ yellow for troopers with brass buttons.

Thanks Kev!!!.
I have not painted white for a while, it is always a challenging color .

Cheers!

Good looking figures, now are you going to paint them as they are or do your particular brand of alchemy to make them something else!?

Cheers Simon

Hi Simon,

The figures have a normal size shoulder belt, the Troupes de la Marine ( at least the early yeas) had a narrower shoulder belt and smaller cartridge box.
As for the cartridge box i had to get rid of the original in the back of the figure and built a smaller one in the front right of the waist belt.
Many illustrstions show a white anchor and trim on the edges of the cartride box, others show a stamped Royal cypher, I am still deciding whih version i will do.

Love it, the desire to change things and make them your own is irresistible, so glad I'm not the only one. All that detail.is just asking to be applied. I thought the hatchet with the bayonet was an adaptation taken into.use in the Americas, is that also on the cards?

Cheers Simon

Amen to that Mate,

The figures are perfect, but there are always details we can do our own and make a difference , I am guilty of that Lol.

The officer is aleady done,
Unfortunately i did not take progress pictures cause these figures needed to be ready by certain time in order to launch them for sale.
Here are pics of the officer, I was finally able to test my lightbox ( bought like 8 months ago) and i am very happy with the pics.
Theses pics are the only ones I took when the figure was almost done.
