I know, not ideal to drill a hole on the figure after is painted but since it is a manual tool and a small hole it was not an issue.
I am glad you like the drummers, it is quite time consuming to finish them, but i am having a blast modelling them
Cheers!

First and second drumers are almost done, still need to work on their hair , some of the faces, gaiters and add the sword to them...

I have glued the swords, they are from Front rank in 28mm but big enough and perfect size for these chaps, since the area where the sword is was meant to also include the bayonet holster, i had to add the lower fold of the turnback and the holding area of the sword belt...

Hi Daniel

They look great in position on the battlefield , the work on the lace pattern really shows well

Once the next 3 are completed can we see pictures of the whole piece .....perhaps close ups of your favourite areas

Thanks for sharing the updates

Added this chap to the battlefield.
I have started working on this wounded trooper, original figure is a colonial militia, just needed to strip off one of the shoulder bellts and shapen some areas, added the folds ,waist belt and cuff flaps using a mix of Magic sculp and greenstuff..

Hi Daniel

The latest fellow looks great on the battlefield , all the Corps of Drums look very impressive and very smart

Your the master of Magisculpt and Greenstuff ....like the way you see the potential in figures for conversion

Look forward to seeing more on the wounded Figure

Thanks my friend :)

Started painting the wounded trooper and got to another existing British officer that i am transforming into a Swiss Officer to carry the Colonel Flag.
The original figure is marching, so, i clipped off the legs and use the existing standing legs and base from another spare figure...

Hi Daniel

Nice putty work there . What do you use for the pattern on lace , knife blade/cocktail stick or have you a specific modelling tool ?

Cheers for the updates

Thanks Kev,
Here is what i do:
After the base of the lace is put in place, if it is putty, i wait a little until hardens up just a bit and i press the Xacto knife "pattern" with very little pressure to avoid deforming the lace.
Sometimes if the area is hard for XActo knife use or small area, i use the blade and mark a pattern as i included in the picture.
The last option is when i use Lead foil, i cut the strips, place them and then i press the Xacto knife pattern against it.
I hope this helps.
