They look fantastic .......

With the flags the figures really seem to come alive more ....the work on the uniforms are great particularly the red coat ...what colours did you use?

Hi Kev, after i prime the figure i lay the base color #1, once , then i wash the figure twice with #2, then i apply #3 , about 2 layers, and last light with a very tiny brush , a mix of #3 and #4.
As for the Flag bearers, sure, my pleasure mate

I have received about 30 troopers and 6 drummers from Triguard Miniatures ( former Trident).
I am paintin 16 of them as Gardes Francaises with 4 drummers.
The drummers are in a marching pose, so, i clipped the rigjt leg, added some putty and re-inserted part of the legs.
I have worked on one of the drummers and added the "grand Livery lace", lot of work but i think it will be worth it once it is done.

I have prime them with army painter ultramarine blue, but it is too light of a color for their coats , so, end up painting the base color with Scale 75 Abyssal blue.
Citadel mephiston red for the cufs and vesr.

I am adding a standard bearer, actually 2 of them.
They are 2 figures from Front Rank, these chaps are Brits but will be converted to Frenchies.
Uniform is AWI, so, it will require a lot of conversion.
I like the idea of havimg unique pieces in a diorama.

I've made some progress on these guards.
Painted the lace (first row) and layed the base color for all the turnbacks using Vallejo matt red., then added Army painter red wash.

I've made good progress today,
Painted all the lace, worked on some turnbacks and paimted the edge of tje cartridge boxes in silver hrey color as stated for the guards.
Note the cartridge boxes, unlike regular infantry, the guards used the fancy red russian leather.
For that purpose i have used vallejo red leather, then added few washes of Citadel carrobourg crimson

While the French guards are awaiting to be finished ,i am starting to prepare the brave Swiss guards.
For the base color i am using Army painter Red dragon color/primer.
Added few washes of Bluish red ink wash from green stuff world.

I've made good progress on these chaps today.
Painted the Russian red leather carteidge boxes, base color for the hats with scale 75 graphite with a little dab of german grey.
The cuffs ,vest and pants with scale 75 abyssal blue, turnbacks with scale 75 dark ocean blue.
Gaiters with a mix of scale 75 graphite and vallego ligjt grey.

I added mustachios to these chaps , as it was a tradition with the swiss troops.
Made some progress, lots of details to be paint but enjoyimg every minute..

I was going trough my stuff yesterday and came across 2 figures that i may have left unprerpared somehow, so, decided to paint them as grenadier for the Swiss guards.
Same uniform as fusilier except that they have carried a sabre intead of a strigjt sword.
Added 2 grenadiers i had from the AWI troops and moded the bearfur hat to a more earlier period, added mustaches and some paint.
