I am making progress on these chaps, slowly but surely.
Thw idea is to have a view of the French troops, the guards, the regulars, the generals , cavalry and king louis as well.

Resumed work on these guards.
The French guardsmen are at a 75% completion, while the swiss are about 40%.
Still lot of details to paint.

Great to see you back at the bench .....a swirl of colour ...and they aren't finished !! .....pariculatly like the flag bearer and drums but all have some much character and skill on them

Working on a conversion at the moment.

I have layed all of the base colors for this figure, mostly scale 75 as you can tell on the very matt finish.
The lace i've painted in black and will drybrush some silver grey tomorrow.

I have made great progress today..
I've mixed some green stuff putty with Magic sculp for the lace, then let it sit for about 20' and used the rugged area of the xacto Knife to press on the mix for the pattern on the lace.
Once the putty is fully cured, based in black and dry brush it with a Mix of Army painter armour silver , dab of vallejo silver grey and a dab of vallejo metal medium , once dry, applied matt varnish to get rid of the glossy finish.

Like the way the silver lace has worked looks great .....and I do like that he will have red gaiters
