There is a remote connection between Latin American subjects in the beginnining of the 19th century and the Greek subjects of the same era.The Latin A merican revolutionary movement and the Greek one were the only ones to have a successful conclusion among the many that were taking place at the time.Also after Waterloo a great number of French officers came down to the Balkans to serve in the armies of the Ottoman empire and the reformed armies of Mohamed Ali's Egypt (against the Greeks),with few exceptions most notable of which was colonel Fabvrier while at the same time a great number of the British Napoleonic veterans travelled to South America and enlisted in the armies of Bolivar and San Martin.

But this was a Spanish soldier in America, Virreinato del Río de la Plata.
They repelled British invasion attempts twice, in 1806 and 1807.

At the moment , i have too many figures in 54mm that i have left unfinished and they need some tender lovimg care, but still have my minion army waiting ;-)
