howdy everybody, im going through my old figure collection i and an effort to sell off the kits, such as they are, and i came across a 54mm Russian Boyar. It was sculpted by Derek Hansen, i believe, or someone that went on to sculpt for Poste Miltaire.
Can anyone help me identify the maker?. I believe it came out in the late 80s or early 90s i remember Steve Weakley did a fantastic job painting it for a SCAHMS show years ago and it is that paint job that made me get the kit in the first place.
It is complete, except for the small studded ball that goes with the flail and the very small nose piece that goes down the bridge of his nose. It has also been worked on by me, hence the metal pins in the feet and the hand holding the halberd.
Here's a photo
Thanks, Ben

Ben,
I vaguely remember Steve's figure, but could go tell who produced it off the top of my head. Let me go through the club archive and I think I might be able to track down some info.

Matt Hauck

Mitrecap maybe? I don't remember the figure but Keith did some work for them so thought it might be a possibility.

Is the figure on the large side of 54mm? Because to me that figure screams Post Militaire. I looked at the Border line and it is not in the line, and Pete never seems to retire anything.

Hi Guys,

I've got this figure on my workbench right now neeeding repaired. It is a Russian Boyar by Keith Durham and it was produced by Mitrecap.

poch mahone is correct. I too have this figure still in its original box. It was produced by Mitrecap as No 4 in their Men at war series. best wishes
