I have gotten into the recent Brit crime/comedy movies like...
Rocka Rolla
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Snatch

Sometimes I could use subtitles but for the most part they are good for a giggle. Gerard Butler is a pretty funny guy, as is Jason Statham... even Brad Pitt gave me a chuckle as a Pikey pit fighter... Perriwinkle blue caravan fer me Ma

I like the majority of selections already pointed out, but I've always wanted a figure of Bogie as the tank commander in Sahara. Also, who wouldn't like one of Gunga Din warning the troops of ambush with his bugle? There are many more I could come up with, but I'll stop here, as I could go on and on.

The Bond list is very interesting - especially the latter actors.

I was lucky enough to meet Ray Hatrryhausen and went to his house - he was making models almost up to the end - and not just his screen models but garage kits too. Such a nice man.

There is a bust of Gunga Din on it's way - announced on Planet Figure. A Bogey figure from Sahara would be most welcome I think. Great to see you puting movie posters on here.
Tony
Two good movies and Gallipoloi is a sublime film.
Brian
Excalibur is my favorite fantasy film - I love the Arthurian Legend and Terry English is still making armour. Helen Mirren is also a good reason to like the film!

Have you seen Layer Cake Colin another of that genre...Kevin

Don't know if it's been mentioned here but the John Wayne version of True Grit is another of those films I can watch again and again and Andrea did a good version of the 'fill your hands you son of a B****h ' charge ...Great stuff...Kevin

Something that deserves a mention on this thread, it was announced on the news, yesterday now, that Sir Christopher Lee has died aged 93.

I put a message elsewhere on here about Christopher Lees passing. Very sad...I am sure a few of us have Lee influenced mofels on our shelves

Great thread I love the 0ld 60's 70's Kung fu movies, so it's no surprise that some of them movies would be at the top of my list. I have spent years collecting the old classics, I also love the old Hammer Horror films and With the passing of chris lee I watched a couple last night and remember what a great actor he was evan if the films were a bit hammy.

A short list of my fav film and TV Classics ( To me any way)

Fist Of Fury Batman TV series
Enter the Dragon Voyage to the bottom of the sea
Way of the dragon Land Of the Giants
Big Boss Lost in space
Beach Of the war gods Time Tunnel
One armed swordsman Man From UNCLE
Hap ki do Walking Dead
When Tea Kwon Do Strikes Game of Thrones
King Boxer Avengers
Dracula prince of darkness The Invaders
Frankenstein F Troop
Duellists
Lord of the rings/ hobbit series

So many great films and tv shows too many to mention but these take me back to my youth and what I still love to watch to day.

Having looked back over the thread I'm pretty much with Adrian on his original list, maybe just shuffle them around a bit and include The Third Man.
Not too sure that The Man who would be King sits comfortably in Fantasy.
Like many here it was the original Aurora Monsters that captured me, my favourites being the Phantom of the Opera and the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
I'm also hooked on almost every Ealing comedy and Carry On ever made. (y)
A wee film that many of you wonn't have heard of was directed by Bill Forsyth (Local Hero, Gregory's Girl) called that Sinking Feeling. Set in Glasgow but equally relevant to most UK inner cities 25 years ago. Full of Pathos and understated comedy with some hilarious moments. Cast was mainly assembled from the Scottish Youth Theatre.
Here's a wee taster. 3 of the lads are sitting in a car discussing suicide, 2 minutes in give you an idea of the desperate comedic thread running through it.

Looking back over this thread, I realised that I haven't put down any crossovers between movies and models except my early adventures with Aurora:sleep:. Well there are a couple of up to date crossover's, on my shelf of shame a 90mm Errol Flynn/ Robin Hood and on my painting bench (first time in a year) a 1/9 bust of the Man of La Mancha.
Best wishes, Gary.

Some good choices there Ian but I have to say I mis-read some of those titles as being linked together. I would love to see Big Boss lost in space, When Tea Kwon Do Strikes Game of Thrones and Frankenstein F Troop :joyful:. how about Bride of Frankenstein Dances with Wolves? Have you started something here?

Gary

I got the Legends Errol Flynn Robin Hood - superb figure - I'd like to get another but haven't seen one in years.

As for crossovers Emmanuelle Good, the bad and the Ugly?
