Hello Folks,
Just finished this converted figure. The original figure is from Modelles et Allures, a fusilier of 1765, converted to resemble an officer of the company of Morenos .
The company of " castas" was an infantry corps formed by Naturals, Mulatos and Morenos ( free emancipated slaves) from The Spanish Army serving in the Viceroyalty of Rio de la Plata as a militia company at the time of the British invasion in 1806 and later in 1807, this company was elevated to a Regiment after that and fought agaimst the spanish forces during the Revolution.
All paimted in acrylics, i have painted the background and tittle in acrylics as well.
Cheers
