Some more progress this evening, shading and high-lighting to the Kurta, (Tunic), and some detailing to the cross-belt.

Medals painted in, Afghanistan Medal (2nd Afghan War) 1878-80 and Indian Medal 1895.

Start to work on the head, Kulla, (pointed part centre of the Turban), Lungi (Turban) and Paloo, (hanging tail at the rear of turban) next.

I don't know when I shall be doing them as I had better slow down as I keep getting told off for being so fast, ;)

That one is an old amati bust that was manufactured in Belgium by Verlinden.


If they come out at the end with a finish that you are happy with,
& OSWMBO is not giving you earache to do other jobs

Sorry the garden was done yesterday and had a trip of about 20 miles to the tip and a bit of shopping, so it's just yet another few hours model painting today:)

Bit late on to the thread but he is progressing very nicely. The effect you have achieved on the tunic and cross belt is lovely.
