This is just a very quickly taken photo of progress so far. The figure is still very much in progress as you can see but if anyone cares to offer any comments or critique please feel free.

Roger, so far this is turnin' out to be a beautifully painted figure.
Personally, I would jus' like to see another lighter shade of highlights on his coat, but it maybe the photo misleadin' me.

Thank you Paul. I would agree with you about the highlights on the frock coat. It's something I've been playing around with but haven't got quite right yet. I can't get them to blend in properly. I'll keep at it and hopefully get there in the end:).

Paul it's a 100mm Michael Roberts figure.
I was just about to reply to your query ref. Shenandoah but seeing as you've mentioned it here I'll reply here.
The Union Infantryman is the only one I've done (see an earlier threadon my vbench) but found very little clean up was required. The figure is 54mm from his feet to the top of his head and the anatomy was fine.
The only problem I had was the musket & bayonet were badly bent but straightened out ok. For less than a tenner they are great value for money and I personally like them and will not hesitate to recommend them.
Hope this helps.

Roger

Hi Roger. Very nice figure. I like the blue colours and the dirty look. I hate figures, which are so "clean". At the second photo the coat looks a little bit shiny. Was it problem with the light?

I've been interested in some Michael Roberts figures for awhile now, especially they're 54mm WWII american infantry. In particular, this one 'MR54011 Sgt. Stelzel'.
