Hello Folks

Available this week are these 75mm scale 3D sculpted resin kits depicting 2 x duelling French hussar officers of the 3rd & 7th Regiments. Each figure has a choice of bare head or with shako. The pelisse is a separate piece which can be left off or attached.

I hope to have the same figures available soon in 1/16th & 1/10th scales along with bust versions.
I am taking orders for the 75mm kits which are £30.00 each
Price includes worldwide shipping.

I intend to produce an initial run of 30 x sets.

To order please email ONLY to [email protected]
Once I have your order cast I will send an invoice by Paypal.

I will update on PF regarding availability of the other upcoming scales.

Cheers
Gordon

Great pair... and I knew we'd see arms eventually (but still unsure how the busts will work?

The (assumed) inspiration from The Duellists: here

The characters were 3rd and 7th Hussars, but if you want to portray the book/film's protagonists (Feraud and d'Hubert) the Napoleonic style sabretache would have to go as this first duel occurred in 1800*... unless of course one did them purely generically.

The Conrad book and Ridley's film are based on a real-life pair, Dupont and Fournier-Sarlovese who fought 31+ duels between 1794-1813.

Really tempted by that pair Gordon (Normally do only 54's, but loved the film and think they would work really well) I'll check the piggy bank and see what I've got available to spend (y)

Very nice mate. Facial work is spot on captured Keitel/Carradine's features well. Good to see the addition of cartridge belts...took me several watches of the film to suss what was missing.

Hello Gordon,
Love these new Hussar figures. What scale will the bust versions be, 1/10 or 1/9? Will they be full busts or will they be partial busts like the 1/6 present version. Thanks for your answer.

No 1/9th scale planned
The 1/10th version will have the option of half figure or full.

My answer will be the same as for the previous duelist bust
A braiding looks like this :

Even the makers of half a century ago were doing better in 54mm

A braiding looks like this :

I must admit that I think I can see Mirosoft's point.

I assume that he's referring to the sculpting of the Pelise braiding: in particular the strange handling of the end loops.

There are tons of references and quite a few original uniforms are available to show how these looked and worked: eg:

BTW: see the above reference's site for a true labour of love: http://frederic.berjaud.free.fr/Hussards 05/05eHussards.htm

..and:

... and from our very own pages to show how they worked to fasten the Pelise (thanks Ediardo):

..and of course some actual Grande Armee veterans (more or less) in their old uniforms:

... and compare the film with the bust:
