Hi all this is our nearly finished version of the 75mm French Guide Lancer 1814. The sculpted is our good friend Igor (Master on here)
We hope to have it in resin in the near future will keep you posted.

One of my favotite French uniforms even if the unit didn't exist for very long. I think this was my first Historex mounted figure some fifty years ago!!

Hi Mike glad you like him, yes once the team saw it we all went yes it’s something different.unusual not been covered much, a bit like our Swiss Marine we released. Just trying to do something that might tempt the Napoleonic buffs out thier.

I like the look of that. Brings back memories of doing the Historex one in the 70s......

75mm is good but 90mm and 120mm is even better for those of us with less visual acuity than we had forty/fifty years ago!

Yes I know the feeling. If we had done it in 3D we could have done it in various scales but it was hand sculpted which means we are restricted . But it’s a step up from 54mm and the detail is very well defined which should make things a little easier.

Bit late on this

Lovely details on this from a talented sculptor and a really nice choice by TFB

Hopefully it will appear for purchase or there will be a update

Hi Union Brigade, Chris, thank you for your comments. We decided to pull the Lancer off our site as it looked like it had ran its course and we had new figures coming out. We still have the molds. One of the Team I think contacted Union Brigade to say we would look at the molds and see if we can get good castings from it. If we can we will let you know.

Hope that helps you guys. Some figures we do keep on our list but others are pulled when they have had their time but you can always ask and if the molds are good then we will try and pull one out for you .

Hi Chris and Union Brigade, the news is not good, Ian did a couple of tests yesterday and it was a 50 / 50 out come. The horse was ok but the rider was poor the equipment was about the same. So sorry about that. At the time we did two mould runs as it was popular and demand was there. We knew the molds were going and so pulled the figure.

It’s very expensive for us to re mould it again for just two it does not make sense. If at some point we get enough people interested then there is a chance we will re do him at a later date.

So sorry but that’s the nature of the beast in this hobby. Everything has a shelf life and once it’s ran it’s course they are retired. I’m sure in the future we will come up with more interesting subjects that will spark your interest.
