Some photos with the bust temporally attached to horse, this is where I got to on the 5th jan before I had an accident slicing through my left thumb, things are at stand still for the present until the hand feels better.

Bloody 'ell, Brian! Mind you, I've done the same thing myself, some years ago......claret up the wall, ruined a t-shirt...so I can sympathise from experience. At least scalpels give a nice clean cut:eek: When next we meet, we'll compare scars, like old campaigners:LOL: Take care of yourself , old son, and I hope it heals well soon.

Hi
Like the way your work is progressing on this

Bit of bad luck with the blade ......I have had loads of
scalpel cuts ......though console myself that it wasn't a sabre cut inflicting the kind of injuries
I have read about and would wish to avoid

Wish you well for when you get back to the bench

Frank
Many thanks frank,I appriciste your kind comments

Ouch!! Been there done that. I have the busts, the horses heads for my idea. I haven't found the right base or figured how to deal with the shabraque yet, but a way will come to me sooner or later. Really like where yours is going

Many thanks my friend, glad you like it so far

Another very nice concept Brian.
Sorry to hear about your thumb ... we've all done sometime.
When I was doing marquetry many years ago, a slip of the scalpel regularly went over a number of fingers.
Wishing you a swift recovery.

Cheers,
Andrew
