This is a very old Verlinden kit, that I painted several years ago, just thaught I'd share it with you.
Every time I do a resin knight, the sworl never stays straight , just a bit of a draw back.

Verlinden has some interesting subject matters , very good value for the price, and their customer service is excellent, not like some company that I've dealt with that don't even have the courtesy to answer your e-mail. I'm still waiting for a missing part,i'ts been over two months now.
The company in question is( SOLDIERS FROM ITALY) BUYERS BEWARE, they want your dollars but they don't want to send you missing parts when they're missing.

I think in the future I will purchase my figures from reliable companies that respect their clients.

Wonderfull Roc.

Do you happen to remember how you did that armour? It looks like polished metal, which is impossible since it's a resin kit. If you can remember this: WOW. I can't remember something only 7 days ago, so 7 years...

Superb looking. Thanks for sharing.

Gino.

P.S. Isn't it possible to remake resin sword blades out of plasticcard?

Hi Gino, I used a product called treasure gold, it is a rub and buff , It comes in pewter, silver, renaissance gold and gold.

1- first undercoated the entire armor in poly-s black acrylic .

2- Base - mixed some a little raw umber into the pewter rub and buff and applied with a larege flat brush.
When dry I buffed it with a soft dry cloth untill I got the desired sheen.

3- shadows - several controlled washes of Mars Black.

4- Highlights- used some silver rub and buff on the extremities and where ever
needed with pure rub and buff silver, when dry buffed it with a soft cloth.

6- Weathered the bottom half of the armor with washes of raw umber.

7- Added rust around rivets with Mars orange.

I hope this helps and thanks for the kind words.

Ciao.

Awesome, Roc. Another great job on the armor.

I like Verlinden. I just have to remind myself that the assembly is a pain. The black prince I just finished was horrendous.

Hey Keith,thanks for the encouragement.

As far as Verlinden goes, I know that there is a lot of work envolved in the clean up and some times parts don't fit well toghether, but at least you're not paying $80.00 or $90.00 for a figure, which I think is ridiculous, so to me it is worth the extra work ,And their customer service department is one of the best in the business, they back their products 100% and most important they are customer friendly.

Cheers.
