Hi All,

I have just completed this piece, based on a great western painting by Charles Russell. Details of its construction can be seen in my linked thread under Friends of PlanetFigure.

Thanks for watching.

That is a stunning piece of work Victor, your painting of the central figure and the background are so seamless it's very hard to work out where the 3d image ends and the 2d begins, brilliantly done.
Have never tried a shadowbox project before but this has seriously tempted me to give it a go.
Cheers
Steve

That is SO good Victor - and an interesting subject that works well in this format

Russell is one of my favourite Western artists. He had the advantage of having been there, done it and got the tee-shirt, unlike Remington who did most of his work from photos and artefacts. Thanks for sharing this - very inspiring!
