This is a little conversion I have been dabbling around with its one that I couldn’t resist, as you can see I am about a third of the way through. The torso is basically there, the basic hat has been done, I have to lower the hat on the head a little more, but I want to keep the flamboyance of the era, there is so much to do as of yet including the collar the rest of the jacket, the sleeves, belts and buckles, strapping around the hat, maybe a gourget then the final braiding on the jacket and the jewellery and of course the hair, which will change the appearance massively ........ but not much to do really, I also have to let the texture on the hat settle down as well as its a little full at the moment, but it will add thickness to the felt, when I add more primer to it.

Hi Dave

Been looking foward to seeing this coming together after seeing some of the converted parts last week, This is one that I will be following with great interest, looking very nice, looking foward to seeing the paint go on.

Cheers
Tommi

This is really coming along nicely. It's a wonderful idea and I am really enjoying watching your progress. I am curious how you achieved the felt texture on the hat? Looking forward to seeing your color choices.

Very good conversion, Dave!!! Thanks!
If to add a collar, it will be possible to turn a head in other side! It will transform a bust beyond recognition, and will give other impulse to all pose! How you think?
Good luck & Merry Christmas!

Hi Guys

just a little update to this as I have been trying my hand at other things getting ready for a massive painting session, so here we are, a load of little items to make, the buckle, one or two bits of jewellery and the leather hatband.......and so on

Its in base colours and primer to see if there are any imperfections that need sorting out

Comments please

Dave
