Hello. This is a picture I took of my classroom today. Every so often we have these special session days at school called "alternate learning opportunity" days, or ALO for short. The idea is that we teachers put on a seminar on a topic that we think is interesting, and the kids sign up for the session. So today, I decided to introduce our hobby to a new generation! I have to say that the 10 students that signed up listened very politely. It was a great morning, and who knows for sure if one of them won't enter a figure at a local show one day. Well worth the effort in my opinion.

Fantastic! I would absolutely love to see more of our kids into the hobby, and history in general.

Well done great idea Ellie's miniatures did something like this at Ellie's school last month Ellie and me ran an after school event. it went down well. it showed what we did and had figures from other people and a little demo on painting and such. they have asked for it to be done again. so we will see. I hope you can follow it up well done again.

You are the kind of teacher we all should've had!

I was lucky having an enthusiastic teacher that

did similar things for us, the rest of my siblings didn't

Well done sir

Paul

Ive got six regular student attendees for my modelling club after school. My club are staging a show in May at the school (North Midlands Expo 2015) and we are putting the kid's work on display. I hope that it sparks some more interest in the school and that if at least one takes the hobby up it will have been worth it!

I shall make every endeavour to attend.
A friend Barry and myself represent the IPMS UK
Kitmaker branch as British Bulldogs and should be there,
we do all the other midlands shows !
Do you have/can you pass on a booking contact for the show please?
I'd love the young 'uns to know about the Staffordshire moorlands show as well.
It's in the School holidays at the RAMC TA Centre in Stoke.
I'll get back to you with dates and contact info in 5-10 minutes by PM.
Regards Paul

That's the game Glenn (y) nothing better than indoctrinating naturally impressionable children :D
Seriously what a great thing to do, good for the teachers soul too.
An impressive display with plenty of top work on show. I'm sure that the pupils realise that this was a session with quality content.
Bravo
Now upload this onto their phones :D
