A present for Napoleonpeart

Hi fellow Planeteers.

I hope you all had a good Xmas. I wish to show you my Xmas present to my good friend Kevin Peart which I painted for him this year. It is a 54mm Andrea version of Napoleon Bonaparte which I thought fitting for Kev due to his user name. He was rather pleased to receive this when we met up recently. It is the first time that I have ever tried to paint Napoleon and I found it very enjoyable. It is painted in acrylics and oils.

Thanks to John for posting this , to say I am stuck for words is an understatement ..its a great figure and really nicely painted as well ....

good groundwork , nice treatment of the coat as well...............

The name plate has been engraved by John and says"For my friend NapoleonPeart"

I am humbled at the thought and kindness and work that John has done with this piece

Its only one of 4 full figures in the cabinets full of busts and this has pride of place .

PF is all about friendships and I am lucky enough to be able to count John as a great friend .
