I'll certainly second that...in fact, if it wasn't for Gary's information and initial encouragement I would never have persevered with polymer clays such as super sculpey or fimo...which I have begun to use and enjoy very much over the last couple of years.

Many thanks Gary for your methodical, proffesional approach and enlightening encouragement.

Roy.

Gary -

Thanks from me, too. I always enjoy your Sculpting posts and appreciate your useful comments when I post my stuff.

Very well put

Roc & guys, I'm not sure what prompted this but thank you very much. there are several folks on Pf that make it the community that it has become. My participation here has been all but absent as of late. I guess I've been bitten by the painting bug (2D not 3). I am also a Grandfather to the most precious 8 month baby old girl, which leaves a large amount of my free time spoken for. There are some sculpting projects I hope to be posting some stuff soon...fingers crossed. Again thank you for the kind words, I'm humbled to be singled out in such a manner.~Gary

1 – It's so rare to find an artist who's willing to share his techniques. :)

2 – It's even rarer to find one with a methodical approach who can explain it in a straightforward, simple way. :)

3 – ... and who's doing it for FREE on a public forum!! :D

Hats off to you, Gary!

Quang

Gary-

the tutorials all rocked, man. I am getting heavily into 120mm scratchbuilding myself now. Your SBS has finally shown me some tips that make me want to go ahead and finally attempt the one thing I have yet to do in scratchbuilding- sculpt a face. Seriously, thanks for putting a great tutorial out there. It's been the factor that finally has me saying, "dude, I can actually do this." ( faces are the only thing holding me back from 100% scratchbuild figures. ) Thanks again Gary.

Cheers,
Stephen
