“French Hussar, Napoleonic Wars era” - the scale of the kit is 1/32. The kit relates to the Napoleonic Wars era and it represents a French Hussar horseman figure of that period. The kit is unique in that several variants of the figure can be assembled from the included parts. The modeller’s choices for the figure are: in winter uniform, in summer uniform, in elite variant or in usual variant. Another feature of the kit is multiple pose assembly. Additional hands parts allow diversifying the choice of poses for this figure.

I'm not sure if this one has been seen on here before. From the in progress section on their website;

I'm not sure that i didn't wrote a thread concerning this new MASTERBOX, but only the box.
It's quite hard in "In Progress" due that this product will be available mid June.
Twice thread is better than none !;)

I bought both this hussar and red lancer. Did anyone notice they were actually 1/35 instead of 1/32!
MB in grey plastic.
Kwen.

Another time the same problem, the size !
The size used in figurine for a man is around 1,75m
1/35° -> 50mm
1/32° ->54/55mm
In the other way
50mm in 1/32° means that the man tall is 1,60m
What's wrong ?
Men in the XIX° C was quite all small, so you can't use a scale for a man, animal, plant.
The only one reference is the size of the weapon !
Compare all 54mm brand and you will saw that there's big difference for the size of their figure and weapon!
The only important question is :
Is it a nice figure or not ?

If compare to the Tamiya tanker (1/35) on left side. 54mm Airfix on his right side. Also if you have MB 1/32 Pilot of Luftwaffe WWII era.
I have start building one, below are only IMO:
Good.
This hussar can build into officer or soldier with two different kind of dressing and sabraque.
Bad.
1. Obviously sabraque with eagle was wrong.(But the colored drawing was correct)
2. Horse neck and mouth were too thin.
3.There may have some details between two joining part.(shako etc.)
4.Some issues with the details of correct position or size.
5.Difficult for coversion if want to use parts(horses) of other 54mm company.

So no.
Kwen.

Hi Kwen1,

Thanks for posting the size comparison. I was hoping for size compatibility with Airfix and Historex for all the equipment. Guess it didn't happen.

Is that a Hussar or Chasseur a Cheval? Looks like parts of the two were mixed together. It is plastic though so it should be an easy fix. I'm not so sure Hussars had the crowned eagle on the saddle blanket and sabretache. But I'm not around my reference.

I had the same reaction Jim and it was also noted above. The shabraque decoration looked like Guard Chasseurs to me (although I did not check my refs and I am increasing in age).

This guy has the potential to be a great number of different figs with a little part swapping and a little research.
I like the idea of this. Hopefully there will be more in this series with the same idea. Some different nations would be nice too.
