Has anyone tried painting any of these specific 3D printed figure busts? Warning: mildly NSFW images

http://www.elgrecominiatures.co.uk/collections/printomancer?filter.p.product_type=Busts+-+1%3A9+-+1%3A12+scale&filter.v.price.gte=&filter.v.price.lte=

How much cleaning and preparation do they require compared to a cast model and more importantly how finely rendered are the clothing and weapon edges and fine details?

I have a fair bit of experience with buying 3D printed figures (and have commissioned some of my own designs as 1/48 scale printed stls) and am aware that the quality varies hugely depending on the file and the printing, hence asking about these specifically. I really like the look of the Necromancer and Necropriestess figures.

Thanks for those links Nap, I appreciate your help. The review is excellent (the bust is lovely too).
The brittle printable resin used by El Greco sounds like it would be a problem on the Printomancer models which have more than their share of fine sharp pointy bits.

The figures I commissioned are not brittle like that so I guess it is a case of asking around the printing services that offer these pieces, there are several on Etsy and I imagine others around as well.

Hello Rob,
Regarding the resin used, it is slightly more brittle than any standard CAST resin but it is no more brittle than standard 3D printing resins. We don't use more flexible resin because that doesn't hold great detail. We have sold many of these prints and have not had any complaints.

The Printomancer kits have skin pores sculpted, textured cloth and other fine details which print extremely well. The only downside is that they come as a single piece print, which can make printing and cleaning them awkward.

We send the printed models cleaned from the supports and other general cleanup. Only minimal cleanup is required. Some details only emerge after priming which can then be sanded back, etc prior to painting.

If you have further questions please get in touch.
Kind regards,
Celine

Hi again Rob.
This is a 1/16 bust from another creator that has fine points and ends. Just so you can see the quality.
We are currently away so don't have access to our work photos.
