Anzac horseman so far

Hello All,
Work has started on the bandoliers, they are time consuming. The thing I want to show with them is that when a full bandoleir is slung the flaps over lap each other.A little jig was made from plasticard to create the wee lifting flap on the pouch. Also a stamping tool was made to represent the stud which was basically a 0.3 drill into the end of a piece of sprue and champfered off so that the hole was at the tip of the sprue.Im going for nine pouch bandoleirs which seem to be the favourite among the Anzacs I get the impression.
There is a bandoleir around the horses neck which will also be nine pouch. There are yet to be made,a couple of water bottles, satchels and nose bag for our four legged freind.Comments welcome.

Hi Andy.

Absolutly great. I think I throw my sculpting tools away. The only question is, how can I get one of that figures here in Germany?

Hi Andy,

I've attached some pics of the 10th Light Horse Memorial Troop from this year's ANZAC Day march, which I thought you might find useful.;) The bandolier in the first pic is genuine WW1 issue, as is the bandolier around the horse's neck in pic 2. Both are 9 pouch bandoliers.

Anzac Horseman cont,d

Hello All,
Work has started on the accesories,Satchel and waterbottle on the left and feed and nosebag on the right. Also a second waterbottle to add and a small pouch for horseshoes. The pouches on the bandoleir around the horses neck are almost done.
The thing I find with adding equipment like this is to set them into each other. If the rider has been on the move for a few hours then the stowage is going to be set into one another. Its that im trying to acheive in this model.Comments welcome.
