Thank you once again guys, I really do appreciate all the positive comments.(y):notworthy:

I've been tweaking the skin tones a little bit and just adding a few extra washes of oils over to blend the highlights. Most of this will be obscured once the helmet cheek guards are glued in place, but I know its there.

My aim is to paint the hood and cloak like an oil skin. Not quite sure how to do that, but that's the fun of taking on a new challenge. If it all turns to bollocks, then I'll have to try something else ;)

excellent painting Tony ! I 'm going to follow your work because i ve this bust to paint. (y)

Thanks for your comments Jamie,

Spent a lot of time this weekend working on this bust. Had a huge day and night on Saturday - 4 hours at the club on Saturday afternoon followed by a pizza and Monty Python night with some of the boys from the modelling club, where we model away to the sounds of Life of Brian and Monty Python and The Holy Grail and then say "Ni" to each other all night. Very silly and great fun.

Anyway, here are the latest pics. Apologise for the crappy quality but it just easier for me to use the iPhone. The Eagle is not finished yet, I've just base coated it and applied an oil wash to give the cloth some texture.

Thanks Brian, I appreciate your comments mate.

Hi Nick, looking forward to catching up with you and Ben tomorrow mate. Sadly, I don't think this bust will be ready in time for WASMEx, so I've put him on the back burner for the moment while I touch up a few of my more "competition ready" pieces.

This is really taking shape now Tony, great flesh tones and the eyes are super , looks like a couple of tricky decisions re the choice of colour for the tunic ,White ,red .green or black .
Im on the scout for a new bust to paint and this is looking like a strong contender.
