I really don’t get this talk of this hobby being some expensive luxury. Seriously how many of these things are you guys realistically mashing out? I’ll finish one a month if I’m active and lucky. Let’s say they average $50 each depending on scale. That’s $600 a year give or take. That ain’t s**t.

Hi Guys

What I will say is I don't know any manufacturer that's retired with "all" the money they make ..quite the opposite infact ....TW has highlighted the hours and dedication worked , often for nothing to show at the end apart from exhaustion

For most this isn't the main source of income and all have a full time job ...they do it because they are dedicated ...it's not a get rich thing for sure

Personally I know only too well how difficult it is to juggle life for manufacturers both in time for family and resin

Thanks Kevin

In hindsight I was wrong to get wound-up by Neils post. It's not just the fact he's talking absolute nonsense, but the arrogant and patronising tone that got under my skin. I think it's better if I ignore him in the future. I've met dozens of Neils while at work, they come in quoting text books and with slide decks full of theory. They are the modern equivalent of snake oil salesmen.

My final thought on this subject; if you're knowingly buying recasted figures because they are cheaper, then you are a dick. Don't be a dick.

Tommy: if you must resort to personal abuse then I'm happy for you to ignore me.

PS: wanna buy some snake oil... it'll help assuage your anger ;)
