Hi Richie

Brilliant idea to do the Correspondents and a good start on the figures again

The one with railings will indeed be a powerful piece for sure ....looking forward to seeing more on that as well

Have fun @ the bench

Nap

Hi Nap,
Thank you, I'm certainly having fun @ the bench.
cheers
Richie

My goodness you're really cranking them out ,Richie!
Brilliant ideas, all three of them. All power to your elbow, sir!

100% agree there Neil

Great modelling ideas , all coming together well ...the Correspondents pieces are really good to see

You could also do something with a beach master or a RAF female plotters

Don’t forget our competitions everyone ..plenty of options there

Happy benchtime

Now don't you start throwing in extra projects as well, I'm having a hard enough time reining myself in:ROFLMAO:

One heck of a lot of impressive modelling going on!

Mike

Hi Mike,
Thank you, my enthusiasm for modelling again is sky high.
cheers

Hi All
I have finished the base and figure for Stanley Maxted, just have to let the base totally dry out before undercoating.
As I mentioned earlier to Simon I'm going to do an Airborne medic and the Dutch underground scene and I have
attached the photo's of those.
cheers
Richie

The medic and underground look like interesting side projects. Early on in this thread I mentioned a book called Rifleman by Victor Greg, I'm sure that was his name, he mentioned an incident at the end of the battle where having run out of ammunition rather than surrender they threw bricks at the German soldiers, not suggesting you do it, he'll you've got enough going on but it typifies the spirit of the troops there.

Cheers Simon

He's a bugger for that- it was he who suggested the standard on my frenchies diorama, and then kept trying to get me to add more figures !

I’m innocent of all charges ...lol

Thanks for the heads up Neil(y) HEY you BUGGER get on with your busts:D.......told him:rolleyes:

I stand told Richie ...lol

Stanley and base looks really good ....great idea

The medic and resistance will also be a pleasure to follow

Look forward to seeing more

Enjoy the benchtime

This is going to be a terrific testament to the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces, absolutely love what you're doing, still think you're off your rocker, but hey who isn't these days!

Cheers Simon

Hi Richie

It’s amazing how a single figure can show so much emotion , excellent positioning

Look forward to updates on the others aa doc course the painting

Happy benchtime

That's a really evocative vignette, well done. Excellent composition, like Kev says, well done for getting one figure to tell such a story.

Hi Nap,
Thank you, not my composition as such just copied from the photo. Thought it would make a nice piece.

Hi Nigel,
Thank you, sometimes less is more, there are loads of projects I could do with one or two figures. The amount of reference photo's
in these books is second to none.
cheers

Hi All,
I have all the trees now sculpted, just need texturing. I will hopefully finish these tomorrow. I have also put the ground down on the Coresspondants base and undercoated Maxted's ready for painting. Added a bit more sculpting to the Para at Onderlangs, that should be finished in another few sculpting sessions.
 Look what just dropped in.....and old Roll Call kit sculpted by Moz and now owned by Scott at The Lost Battalion ($59.95 approx £47). I have always liked this kit
but in a dilema, do it as is or convert him so he is kneeling down at the window firing the P.I.A.T.
The conversion would make him unique.... albeit quite a bit of work.
cheers

Very nice figure, to convert him would be a considerable task but as you say unique, Maurice does turn out a damn good figure though.

Cheers Simon
