Hi All,
Been working on three of the bases and painting 10 of the 18 heads. Started laying in some shrubs in the war correspondents base.
Anyone one know where I can get some 1/35 British mess tins?
Cheers Richie

Nice start on the ground work. I wouldn't know where to look for British mess tins though, I would have said Verlinden but I don't know if they are still trading or not. In 1/35th they would be small and fiddly to scratch build unless you make them from brass sheet, or someone makes photo etched ones.

Cheers Simon

Hi Simon,
Thank you, I have found a set by Bronco AB3562 problem is finding stock. I'm waiting for an answer from a European model shop!

These are fantastic. This is my main theme of interest. Ive started far too many Arnhem dios and have given up on each. This is helping me get back to the modelling desk.

Hi Paul,
Thank you, I'm glad these have inspired you to get back at the bench and do some Arnhem stuff. Look forward to seeing it. Loads of good figures out there and with a bit of thought and conversion work you can make some interesting Market Garden scenes.
cheers

Hi All,
I was so suprised yesterday to pick up a bronze at the Sword & Lance 2024 for my Arnhem piece.
The level of entries in this category was really high, including best of show winner which also picked up the gold too.
Managed to bag a couple of bits at the bring and buy which will come in handy for later projects.

I have found and received the figures that I will convert into the Dutch underground figures taking German prisoners.
cheers

Congratulations on the bronze, not been to Sword & Lance since I was posted to Catterick in the 90's, always a good show then, pleased it's still going. The underground project looks interesting.

Cheers Simon
