I have decided after doing some research - to change the colour of the Horse under my LG as it should really be a Black large horse and not a Bay, also I have decided to add a single Royal horse Guard, as they where also involved in the mass attack on the French lines, he will be placed near the kitchen gardens hedge.

Wonder if anyone knows please - my washes I use are below, they are both acrylic, but I have found due to there nature they can leave a slight sheen over a matt painted surface, my question is - could I mix in to my wet pallet 50-50 mix of my acrylic Ultra matt top coat with the wash to kill the sheen from the wash?

Nice figure, always thought the blue painted waterbottle looks odd with the rest of the gear, can't say I'd fancy drinking from one, but when thirsty I guess one can't be too fussy.

With the washes, I use some of the Citadel ones as well and yes the sheen is a pain. I do put it on my wet palette and thin it with the ultra matt, which helps. I do find that a top coat of ultra matt is necessary, sometimes two especially if using it on metallics, but it works.

Cheers Simon

I have had the same issue with Citadel washes, i do add just a bit of Ultra Matt Varnish and a drop of distilled water to improve flow and generally helps with the sheen.

So hate the brutal honesty of close up photos that show more detail than the human eye can see when building - painting.

Agree with you there, they say the camera never lies but if that is accurate it bloody well exaggerates way too much! LG trooper does look nice though.
