Well, I am back to figure painting after about 2 or so years of a break. Still going to seminary to get my MDiv, but sanity demands that I get back into the hobby. Plus I miss everyone and miss the brush and the Vallejo. This is my first attempt after two years. The photography is not the best, but I hope you can get the idea. I have a couple of others on the bench, as well as an armor piece. Anders has inspired me to break out a larger figure, like a 120mm, and go for it! I just may do it.... :)

Hey Brett!!

Great to see you here, Welcome to the Planet! I am glad to see you back in business again, your stuff was great before and I am sure after a couple warm ups you will get back at it again, although after seeing you buy all that armor 'junk' :)lol:) I hope you still have time for the figgers!

Was great to finally meet you in person, looking forward to see you back at it again!

Well, well, well! Mr. Brett Avants! Rumor on the street was that you were coming back to the hobby. Good looking figure, too.

Best of continued success on the MDiv. We can certainly use all the help we can get.

Brett-

Good to see you here.

And, I wanted to thank you for your great book on painiting with acrylics. It really helped me alot when I got back in to the hobby after a 15 year lay off.

Brett, Good to see you back among the ranks! I have missed seeing your work. Hope you can make it to Atlanta again. I enjoyed talking with you.

Brett, it was great to see you again at Mastercon this year and it'll be even better to have you around the Planet. I look forward to seeing your work up here now. By the way, for a 2 year break, it doesn't look bad at all. Wish I could do that on a 2 month break much less a 2 year break. Again, it's great having you back.

Jim Patrick
