Not quite sure what the image in the middle of that star is but I'm not going to mention it on here! Good luck with Cyrillic lettering.

It is simply the Cyrillic letters S and G intertwined, for Saint George, Святой Георгий in Russian

Interesting to see your start on the gold lace, it already looks good and I like the difference between the flat area and the moulded lace alongside it.
