Not quite.
The Jacobite army was not uniformed in any real sense : they wore a mixture of ordinary civilian clothing ( coats , waistcoats and breeches , some in plaid fabric , some in plain mostly undyed browny-grey colour )and Highland great plaids, which were in a wide variety of tartans, mostly rather subdued . There were no Clan tartans as recognised today : they were invented in the 19c. So some ( the majority probably ) were dressed as Lowlanders, some as Highlanders in plaids, but the Lowlanders also carried plaids as blankets/ overcoats. Cloth was certainly issued to some of them, to make coats and plaids.
Almost everyone wore the blue bonnet.
The French and French/Irish regiments wore uniforms.
The Government troops opposing them wore their regimentals, a study in itself.
If you really want to know, buy the Osprey Elite " The Jacobite Army 1745-46 ".
