Useful, thanks, I hadn't found that site despite all my searches.

I think most of the pics show that once painted the lacing blends in and you can't see any great detail, just a vague strip with some knobbly bits as per:

(it also just about shows that zig-zag edging that I mentioned)

Martin: any pics of the lacing and/or a 'bare' rudder frame?
