That's very well done! I really like the tartan vest as it makes the bust stand out, and the map is just fantastic.

Glad to see it finished (or close enough)! Awesome job, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll do next (y)

Hi guys, thanks so much for all your very kind comments and encouragement.

Sadly, poor Bilbo Baggins' adventure is over.

On Saturday, after I took him to my local model club, I was unpacking my gear from the car and I dropped the box in which I carry all my paints and modelling tools and Bilbo fell to the ground and was damaged beyond repair.

A very sad end to a lovely little bust. RIP Mr Baggins.

What a b****y shame Tony. Well you'll just have to do another one.

I know how you feel. I once painted a figure for my brother-in-law for his birthday. In preparing to pack it, I dropped it on the floor and ended up with an amputee at both ankles. Perhaps it was for the best, as my painting is not that flash.

Cheers
Chris

Very sorry to hear that. It was looking so good.
Murphy and Sod have got a lot to answer for.

Cheers,
Andrew

Tony man, that's a shame... I'm really sorry to hear that. I've been there too, and can totally commiserate with you
