Chris, you are most certainly a master at your craft. Your ability to create a work of art such as this is a talent that most could only dream of. Looking at the photos, is it a 90mm figure?

Thanks T-34/85, that's extremely nice of you to say. I'm glad you're appreciating the progress of my sculpt. It's a larger one, 120mm, this will be the third one in this size.

A bit of an update...
Firstly I decide I needed to change the buttons, the punch and die set I use is great but the buttons aren't flat so I decided to make my own by glueing a small glass bead, the same as the ones used for the eye's. I made a Greenstuff mold, extra yellow for flex to bend and remove the casts of the buttons made of magicsculpt.

I then moved onto cleaning up the keys to the arms and neck and also tidy up the sword strap, then I lightly baked.
Wanting to start on the sash, and also decided to make some adjustments to some other area's. I wanted to widen the sword strap, as I felt that was a little narrow, hindsightis a beautiful thing. I also added another tail to the feather bonnet as well as shaping it more.
Back to the sash and I textures that with one of my sculpting tools.

Also wanted to show how I made the back of the kilt. I basically ran a large needle shaped tool vertically. Once I had made the desired number, I then used a modified thin rectangular spatular shape and ran that along the existing marks. I then adjusted the angles to give it a V shape into the surface. It took a number of times to do this. The bottom side was a matter of making a sharp end of the V at the bottom.

Great to see the progress Chris and some of the “tricks of the trade” you’ve used as this figure develops. It’s also been great to see your sculpting skills develop with each of your projects and looking forward to more to come in the future.

Thank you very much Neal. Glad you've been enjoying my various projects along the way. I hope this one turns out reasonably well once it's completed.
