Hi Richie,Hi Chris,
I hope you and all the family are well mate.
Thought it was about time I chipped in on this superb piece.
You have captured something in clay, especially the face that is very reminiscent of the work of Harry Payne.
If Harry Payne could have sculpt, then he would have sculpted this in exactly the same style.
I cannot think of a more fitting compliment.
cheers
Richie
Hello Milan,Hi Chris,
Your work is famous. Great body position, facial expression and even more great historical period. I want to paint this. It will be an absolute pleasure to paint this figure. I'll have to check out the official release...
Milan
Hello Terry,This is wonderful work and the attention to detail and re-doing things just to get them 100% really shows that you want to produce a quality figure, it's a pleasure to watch this progressing, totally inspirational.
Terry
Hello Bran,Fantastic, thank you very much for this exceptional WIP !!
Hello Bundook,It's only a shame you have him in what looks like a modern knife pleated kilt. For the 42nd it should be a 5 to 7 yard box pleated kilt. Regimental highland dress is a minefield for the unwary. Only the 92nd at that time had knife pleated kilts.
Thanks so much Merryweather, yes, that is the sash. Just a little bit of a type of cross-hatch pattern to create the textureThis a super sculpt, Chris -love the texture on the sash(or is that the plaid?)!
