Thanks for looking and commenting Ian, Pedro, Ralph and Monty

Tony, the same goes to you mate

Brian, cheers for that, I will relook at the eyes, I tried to get an excited look to them. I have a Cocker just like this one at home and know how when she gets excited, you can see a lot of the whites to her eyes. Will definitely re look at them though

Ben
I'm glad you took my comment o.k. as I think you've done a remarkable paint job on this bust.I just noticed the look the dog was giving his master and it didn't convey the doleful look that yould expect from a spaniel

Ben, this is brilliant mate. I love everything about it, from the sepia tones to the fact you've put a picture of his spitfire behind him. Can't wait to see it up close this weekend, mate. This little bloke is sure to do well in the comp.

Hi Carl, Ken, Brian, Billy, Mike and John
Appreciate your comments guys, its a pleasure to show him.

Colin, Cheers mate, the glass was the last thing I did on him as I kept putting it off as I couldn't get my head around the reflective look, but when I did it, it took about 15 minutes and was done first go. It goes to show that its all in the head and you have to push yourself sometimes.

Brian, no worries with the critique mate, I did ask for it and you obliged constructively. I have done nothing about it yet but will before the show.

Nick, be good to see you there, still want to know what your bringing, you have to contest last years Best of Show!!!!!!!!

Thanks again for the comments, I am glad you all like him

Nap, thank you very much for your appraising comments, I appreciate it. I do plan to take quite a few pics of the comp tables so don't you worry about that!!!!!!

Original concept, beautifully executed. Well done.
Have to agree about the dog's expression, though it may be the eyebrows and eyes together

Congrats Ben, couldn't stop looking at this one in the comp hall. Your photography is great, but still doesn't fully show the detail and depth of tones you achieved. Truly superb painting mate ;)
