Hi all pF mates,

Here's my latest project I am working on now, "Bolshevik" by talented sculptor Yury Serebryakov.

Here's the current status. (updated: 2011/10/16)

Here's the pre-shots, before the first post.

This time I started from drawing eye by pencil to make sure what I know and what I don't about eye.


Primed with Vallejo primer, and airbrushed Dark blue and orange for shadows and highlight as a base.


Start from drawing eye..


And then move onto face.

I have my doubts about the reddish base color.

Kazufumi, Magnificent! I've seen this bust painted by other artists, and thought that he could not go further in terms of style. But I see that it is possible thanks to your talent and your technique. I really like, is alive.

Unbearably sumptuous. The colors are so rich and yet Down to earth. It's like a very good cheesecake.

As Eduardo and Rob said, yes I thought I need to try another approach which is different from what other great painters did on this bust. They are too great. and I think "Box art sample is too great. Always!", too!

I didn't have much time today so...here's today's small progress.

Very striking and unique. A classical looking face extremely well painted.
