The Battle of Watling Street in 61 AD, the final mega battle between the Romans and Celtic warrior Rebellion.
Following the Roman occupation of the British isles in first century Rome, an uprising took place, led by Queen Boudicca against the foreign invaders. The battle led to defeat of the Iceni and the demise of Queen Boudicca. The Roman description of what happened to the Queen sees her die of wounds or poison. I like to think the Queen fought to the end with her daughters by her side, in a final last stand, with her Nobel Celtic warriors and people by her side.
The scene utilises a converted Miniart 1/16 Roman figure beneath the crashed chariot. With other figures including the chariot made and sculpted by me.
