Great work as usual, Brian - how about a SBS on how you paint metal?
No Problems Stephen.
I sometimes actually prime and paint armour but on Richard i just applied Sepia to the bare metal (no thinners) and took it all off with a large dry brush until it just leaves a stained metal finish. I then use lamp black slightly thinned in all the joins between the armour plates and blend in with a dry brush ,when dry i'll deepen these areas with more thinned black.I then add silvers printed ink mixed with a small drop of liquin and apply to all the edges of the armour plates etc ,and thats about it. I usually always paint chain mail with silver printers ink and liquin then when dry apply washes of sepia and when this is dry i'll shade where appropriate with lamp black washes.
