I paint the eyeball with a semi round of black oil paint then add the colour within this black leaving a thin line of the black showing at the edges .To make the eyes come to life i add a catch light of white ,or an off white depending on the colour i've used on the eye.I add this as a small dot on the upper right or left of both eyes and thats it .I only put this much detail on 90mm figures eyes.54mm eyes are o lot easier.Paint the black or sepia semi round shape and then add a much lighter colour right in the middle of each eye leaving an outline of the black or sepia around the edges.The best way to check where to put the catchlight on a 90mm figure is to check your own eyes in a mirror with a room light on or check out the old masters portraits.
