Here are some pics of my Jon Smith 120mm Private 4th Battalion Tank Corps figure.

Great work Roger!
Nice color choices and I like the dusty effects too.
This is a fine job on a good kit. I like all of the Jon Smith kits.
If I didn't work at the dining room table, my family would never see me.
Keep up the good work.

Cheers John, Jon Smith and The Fusilier are my faves. i'm a bit of a Ww1 nut if you hadn't guessed already.
The dusty effect was achieved with weathering powder bought at a Model railway show I grudgingly went to with my father in law. Glad I did now.

Hi Dan, Thanks. As far as I'm aware the blue helmet was worn in the field.
I think I will send Jon a pic. I sent him one of the French Poilu. In his reply he said he was working on a "rather a large 120mm project." I'm looking forward to seeing what that is.

Roger.

Great work Roger - I'm a fan of Jon's work too, and I too have to use the dining table as a workbench!!
Your rendition of this subject is far better than mine turned out - just taken a snapshot of it - must finish the vignette I had planned for it - looking at a fresh grave - just that pose with his head slightly down suggests that he's doing something like that!
BTW - the blue helmet was used as a means of unit identification I beleive!

Dave, thanks mate. yours is a nice one too, I've actually seen someone elses rendition as you describe contemplating the grave of a comrade.
Only one teeny weeny constructive criticism. The overseas service chevrons on the bottom of his right sleeve should be blue.
Now get the blue paint out pronto
I did also wonder if any of the other Battalions painted their helmets different colours but I couldn't find any evidence of it, anyway I like blue.
Roger.
