Very well done! Great scene! Some minor quibbles - no regimental markings -like this example for the 15th Territorials "Civil Service Rifles" from London. Or Division markings - like this one for the 12th Division. Small stuff and they could mostly be painted-on. Really a nice figure and scene!

All the best,
Dan

Thx all for all the comms :)

Dan I'd like to try the 10th Battalion of the Essex Regiment.
Do you have any insigna to show me? So I can paint them on the cloths?

Anyway thx again :)

JP

Unfortunately JP, I don't have 10th Essex in my collection of images. I believe they would have been part of 18th division. 18th division used a rectangular patch on the helmet in three colors, but I don't know the colors. I've taken the liberty of asking your question on the Great War Forum and hope to have an answer for you shortly from those very knowledgeable folks.

Jean Paul - At the suggestion of Andrew Upton on the Great War Forum, I sent an e-mail to the 10th Essex re-enactors group @ http://www.actofwar.co.uk/essex/ I'm pretty sure we'll get a good response soon. In the meantime, check out their web site - pretty nice!
Another re-enactor site you might be interested in is The Old Contemptibles -
