I can highly recommend the colour shapers on your amazon link, they really are great, get the firm ones though.
Can Moz or Carl Reid advise as well please? I imagine masters like yourselves often make custom tools. These are good though being silicone the epoxy putty tends not to stick to them. Best of luck with your work :)
 
I second the colour shapers comment. I think which firmness depends on your sculpting material. Black firm colour shapers are good for high density epoxies like magic sculpt. For sculpey I prefer the white eraser-like ones. I also use the mid-firmness grey ones a lot on both types of material. If you are doing small creases or small 54 - 75mm figs, the tiny sized shapers are awesome.

Also check ebay for potential deals.

Look on ebay for the best deal. I got a set of 15 black shapers (5 different shapes in 3 sizes) for around $25 including shipping. They work great.
