Hi Guys
Picked up some new woods today, this piece of Elm Burr is at the moment 180x100x65mm high
with an outstanding grain in all profiles ,you never know what you are going to get with this stuff
until you run it thru the planer , this bit is a real cracker.
Will probably cut to smaller sections IE squares or plinth sizes for busts so if you have anything specific in mind let me know and if it is not to waste full will cut to size . still in its raw state at the moment and will darken down about three tones when polished and oiled.

Some more of this wonderful wood Ron, good to see it. This is amazing wood guys and it depends on your imagination what and how you manage to use it.
The last amazing pieces I got from Ron are sitting beside me as I write while I admire them and plot their future.

It's for a pair of horses. Same principal as book ends but a different use. Just give me your best advice mate.

Ron

Trying to envisage , what scale are you doing ground work or as a polished top ,not wishing to do myself out of a sale but in my humble opinion this stuff sits better on the thicker side ,do you have a picture Ron.

Each horse is 90 mm so, 180 x 100 is ideal, but need two pieces. Hence my original question. Nothing humble about your opinion. You are the expert.
