Hey, all -

I got the Big Child Creatives 1/12 bust "Sword of Dawn". It comes with a really neat background piece, a flat disc with raised filigree.

HOWEVER: As per the norm, there are no instructions with the kit. I've looked online, including the Big Child site, and I have yet to come across a clear side view or assembly guide that shows just how the bust attaches to the background piece. I can see how the bust can be mounted as a separate piece (hole in the bottom), and I can imagine how the background piece could mount to a base, but there are depressions and plugs which imply to me that the two pieces are designed to be attached together.

SO - has anyone built this bust, or have a definitive illustration showing the assembly of the background piece and the bust? Any help or references will be appreciated!

I've had a look online, and like you I'm unable to find a photo showing a side view.
Best thing I suppose is to contact them for advice.

You'll find a load of pdf Assembly Guides for Big Child Creatives HERE.
I've converted the pdf for 'Sword of Dawn' into a jpg:-

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Andrew

P.S. I simply found the Assembly Guides by Googling 'big child creatives sword of dawn assembly'.
However, when I went to their site I was unable to find a link to this particular page (it's possible I may have missed it, but I don't think so).
That is very frustrating, to say the least.

THANKS, Andrew! I was wondering what that kinda-cylindrical piece was - it's the connector between the bust and the background piece! SUCCESS!!! :)

I checked a couple of other BCC figures I have, and the boxes refer you to a site with illustrations. I didn't see that on this box. Oh, well - all better now!

Hi Russ,
Looks pretty straight forward. The piece indicated by the red line joins the bust to the back drop. The back drop below the sword handle must have a flat edge, this is were you secure it to your choice of base by whatever method you choose.
cheers
Richie
