Dear Pegaso
Lovely figure, but - We don't want the bases! - they only serve to make the figure too expensive for most of us, and you could always sell them separately for those who do want them.
Every model show I have ever been to has had at least one dealer selling bases at very reasonable cost.
Or is it just me?

Very nice, but would be better in 90mm. However Pegaso 90mm mounted figures are very pricey............. as it is £95 for the above 54mm mounted figure is also excessive, with or without the base.

Personally I think the base is a nice touch particularly the shield but there should be a option to include when purchasing

Too expensive for me I'm afraid; especially as Metal Modeles mounted figures are 2/3 the price.

Without wishing to condone the practice, I wouldn't be surprised if recasts became available at a fraction of the price in the near future.......................... which could be avoided with more 'sensible' pricing, and yes, I do understand the economic side of producing a figure from the sculpting of the master, through to moulding, casting and selling.

A new figure of Pegaso, which has been included with a base. With or without a base, the figure is very ordinary, nothing spectacular, but above all with an excessive price. This way, they won't regain the customers who have already left. There are other brands in the market - few, it's true - that are offering consistency, a variety of themes, and quality in horse figures, both in design and casting, surpassing this new release. Specifically, El Taller-Hobbyart from Spain comes to mind.

I agree with all the comments. That sort of pricing makes you think twice before buying. And then you don't buy...

I just bought the 3 new Chronos horse figures for about the same money. You can easily rationalise spending 100 quid on your hobby by saying that painting a horse figure will provide you with hours and hours of absorbing pleasure. And that compared with say, yachting or motor racing, our hobby is cheap. But you know it's overpriced. And you don't want the wooden base.

Mind you, it's a nice figure. I am tempted.

Whilst it is a lovely kit, and is a welcome release, the price will put people off.

Agree with all of the above + artwork is getting ridiculous. Historical figure painted like a fantasy figure, the coat looks more like he is going to a fancy dress ball! Perhaps Pegaso have a paint set to go with the figure? I know I'm cynical? Pegaso are 90% Fantasy now Historical is just a side show.

However, they have my thanks for the wonderful figures I have in my cabinets and those I have still to paint.

Pegaso used to be the gold standard against which all other companies were measured. Now they're just overpriced and uninspiring. A real shame.

It is sad to see, but IMHO this is the consequence of a long process - it started when even hardcore customers did no longer follow the price level Pegaso was aiming at - and Pegaso ignored it. I don't know anything about running a business but other companies are still able to run their business successful in a different way. The idea with the mounted Napoleonic marshalls and their ADC's is great but I doubt their marketing strategy - the bases just serve to disguise the insane price level.

What has happened to Pegaso?? They used to be my favorite brand by far (and generally considered the gold standard in the hobby), but they've really gone downhill over the past several years. It's very disappointing. I'm going to give my brutally honest opinion: this is a very basic figure, with a very basic paintjob.
