There might be an article on the leopard skin in the Cartacci book as well... have to check. It may be an Andrea book I have... I'll find it and send it to you

Looking good Pedro I think the horse is a good one and will look even better with the rider in place ,there are not many who can sculpt a horse as good as this .
The painting is very nice with great tones ,choice of mane colour ! I would go with black ,might look good against the uniform(y)

Thank You Ron for your comment! The horse is great, but I understand what Paul means (if it was that you're referring to).
I'm going to paint with dark grey/black. I just tried a lighter tone and didn't liked... A dark tone will contrast with a light uniform.

Pedro

Very, very nice start Pedro! Horse looks great and with a dark mane and tail will contrast very well with rider and rest of the horse!
Love what you did so far and I'll follow closely!
Cheers mate,
Zeno

I like what you have done so far Pedro.
Have this on the shelff and I haven't the guts to start it.
About the horse: I also found it to artificial but a collegae of mine who own horses said it is a great pose from a fabulous horse.
It is a Lippizaner and is used into the Spanish School. If you google on image's about this horse you can see it is not so artificial as it looks.

I'm gonna follow this closely because I have to paint someday mine.

Thank You Keith and Mark for the comments ;)

You're right Marc, indeed the horse is really close to this race.
My apologies. I'm waiting to see your attempt in your kit.

Regards
Pedro
