I am painting this figure from Dejavue but having difficulty establishing any colour references to guide me on the reverse of this colourful uniform.
Looking at various websites he is described as either above or "Aiutante Di Campo Di Generale Di Divisione"

Any help would be appreciated-unfortunately I bought this from a friend without any paperwork.

Should have looked in my own library first-there is a great illustration by Gibe in "I Soldati Del Primo Tricolore Italiano" a lovely book I purchased last summer.

ADC to Lieutenant General 1800.

Hope I didn't inconvenience anyone.....................Keith

It's not you fault dude

It's my favourite italian uniform and on the masterclass website
and it's deja vu off shoot it's incorrectlly captioned.
Still it's a cracker and v hgigh on my list
Enjoy !
Paul

There are some great Swedish Uniforms and the contrast of Blue and Yellow is eye catching. The Danes are a bit like the Swiss with their Red but there are some great Dragoons in Yellow and I have a plate with a Dragoon in Red, Blue and Green.....some great stuff I just wish I had the time or skill to do some conversions. I picked up some Danish Regt Plates on the internet a couple of years ago by Wurgler Hansen and they were a real eye opener.

Just reading you post made me grin from ear to ear.

Your enthusiasm is wonderful.

I convert napoleonics all the time and have done since I started.
Go on have a go !

Then keith, m'dear chap,
How about,
You buy 'em as I know you probably will anyway,
and housecarl and I will help you paint them ?

Oh naughty Paul !
See you soon good bud.

I was wondering if you would say that,
you did say that to me n Carl t Darlington;
we where chatting about colour plates that day too.

I've just obtained for a token amount a slip cased pair of simkin's
Uniforms of the british army infantry and cavalry, cor luvvly jubbly !

I'll have to make inroads to my stock first.
To force myself to finish a few more before Southwell this weekend and then Telford;
From henceforth they shall be called the off-white horde,
or the metall multitude to spur me on.
Feeling guilty about it is silly but it can work

Good luck with the adc ifigure,
t's blooming gorgeous
