Recently finished this 90mm kit from Castle Miniatures of Napoleon Bonaparte. This is the kit entitled Vive L’Empereur (the alternate version being entitled Bad Omen). The sculpting is fantastic and the face of Napoleon is probably one of if not the best rendition I have seen in figure form. The likeness is amazing. This kit was a joy to work on and I referred quite a few times to Glen’s (ghamilt1) version previously featured on here. The only issues I encountered were around the seating position in relation to the right stirrup. In the end I opted to show him with this foot out of the stirrup (the Bad Omen version of the kit shows this configuration). I’m sure there has been previous mention on threads re this kit about Napoleon’s riding prowess and thought this might just show one of those moments.
Painted in oils over acrylics.

All the best for the New Year to everyone and hopefully we’ll see a better year in 2021.
