I've always thought the Celts/Gauls were sort of the European answer to the Native Americans, with the Romans taking the place of the US Cavalry (and everyone else that went at them unmercifully).
It's like the first time I went walking in Victoria, BC ...there was a piper playing in traditional dress underneath a huge totem pole---I thought I had died and went to Miniatures Heaven
